Why Puppy Pre-School?
Our Puppy Pre-School is fun, interactive, and an essential part of your puppy’s early development. It gives your pup a safe head start on socialisation during their most critical learning period, while helping you grow in confidence as a puppy owner.
Our vet-recommended curriculum is designed to:
- Support healthy behavioural development
- Build strong foundations for training and learning
- Strengthen the bond between you and your puppy
- Equip owners with the knowledge they need for a happy, healthy dog
What to Expect:
- 3 week course (one 1-hour session per week)
- Teaching of basic commands such as sit, stay, come and lay down and drop
- Small class sizes (maximum of 5 puppies) to allow for individual attention
- Classes led by our experienced veterinary nurses, Tabrett and Anne-Marie
- A graduation pack filled with vet-recommended goodies for your puppy
Time & Location
- Wednesdays at 5pm at Seaside Veterinary Surgery
Ages Targeted
8–12 weeks of age
- This is the ideal window for critical learning, confidence building, and safe socialisation.
Eligibility:
- To ensure a safe learning environment for all puppies all participants must have received at least their first vaccination and Must be free of fleas, ticks and worms
What You & Your Puppy Will Learn:
-Positive socialisation techniques and understanding animal behaviour
- Puppy nutrition and feeding guidance
- Preventative parasite management
- Common emergencies and warning signs to watch for
- Toxic foods and household hazards
- Essential puppy owner information including desexing, vacinations and dental health
- Managing common behavioural challenges
- Mental enrichment and confidence-building activities
- Pet insurance guidance
